TRAIL USAGE

The Plainfield French’s Ledges Trails are available through the generosity of  public and private landowners and maintained by volunteers.

Suggested Trail Etiquette for the Plainfield French's Ledges Trails:

Respect the land

  • Carry out what you came with, and leave what you find.

Respect trail users

  • All human-powered activities are welcome.

  • When using the trails, be safe and be aware of others on the trail.

Respect the trails

  • Avoid biking on trails when they're muddy.

  • E-bikes are allowed on trails. Motorized vehicles and horses are not.

  • When trails are groomed for skiing, please walk on the side of the trail, or use snowshoes. Fat bike only on firm snow or non groomed trails.

    • Rule of thumb: if you are leaving more than a one inch impression with your tires, please refrain from riding on groomed trails.

  • Please notify frenchsledges@gmail.com of trail damage or needed maintenance.

  • Friendly, well behaved dogs are welcome (and please clear their 💩 from the trail 😃)
